Role Description
The Registered Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Newton Abbot. The Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, including coordinating care services, managing staff schedules, and ensuring care plans are delivered to a high standard. This role involves supervising and supporting care teams, conducting performance reviews, and promoting best practices in person-centered care. The Manager will monitor compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement in service quality. Regular communication with clients, their families, and external stakeholders is required to ensure excellent service and address any concerns promptly.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in managing care or support services, ideally in a home care or community setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including staff supervision, coaching, and performance management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with competence in scheduling and coordinating multiple services.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Good understanding of person-centered care principles, safeguarding, and relevant health and social care regulations.
- Ability to use basic IT systems for record-keeping, reporting, and communication.
- Relevant health and social care qualification (such as NVQ/QCF Level 5 or above, or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
- Experience in quality assurance, risk management, and continuous service improvement is an advantage.
