Alpha Alternatives - EPM Overview

Alpha is a global advisory firm focused on alternative investments, financial services, and technology-enabled transformation. We help clients improve reporting processes, governance, and scalability through a combination of business consulting, technology implementation, and deep industry expertise.

Our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) practice helps clients achieve operational and financial excellence through advanced planning, forecasting, and profitability solutions. We combine the talents of industry leaders and service-delivery experts, pairing hands-on consulting with technology implementation to drive structure, process improvement, and long-term scalability. Our work spans project-based engagements across business consulting, technology solutions, and end-to-end operational improvement.

About the Team

As an Elite Workiva partner, Alpha's Workiva practice is one of our core solution offerings. We're looking for an experienced Manager-level consultant who can step into active client delivery, lead Workiva implementation projects, manage delivery teams, and drive high-quality outcomes across complex reporting and operational initiatives.

This is a hands-on consulting leadership role. The ideal candidate can quickly pick up active projects, understand client requirements, organize workstreams, manage teams, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and drive delivery forward with minimal ramp-up.

What You’ll Do / Keys to Success

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Workiva implementation projects from kickoff through go-live, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to client expectations.
  • Serve as the day-to-day project lead and primary client contact, managing scope, timelines, deliverables, risks, issues, budget awareness, and overall communication.
  • Lead client meetings, discovery sessions, design workshops, status calls, sprint reviews, steering committee updates, and go-live readiness discussions.
  • Translate client reporting processes, spreadsheets, documents, and business requirements into scalable Workiva solutions.
  • Oversee the setup and configuration of Workiva documents, spreadsheets, presentations, processes, tasks, permissions, reporting workflows, template structures, linking strategies, common content, and review cycles.
  • Manage consultants and solution architects assigned to Workiva implementation projects by assigning work, monitoring progress, removing blockers, reviewing deliverables, and holding the team accountable.
  • Support Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog management, standups, retrospectives, and definition-of-done reviews.
  • Develop and deliver client training, support user acceptance testing, resolve feedback, and help clients understand how to maintain and operate their Workiva solution after go-live.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders across accounting, finance, reporting, operations, IT, audit, compliance, and executive teams.
  • Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, decisions, and opportunities to expand client value through additional Workiva use cases, optimization, managed services, or future phases.
  • Mentor consultants and senior consultants while supporting Alpha’s internal methodology, accelerators, templates, delivery best practices, and sales pursuits as needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
