Your Role
As a Managing Consultant / Senior Manager in our Energy Retail team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering complex transformation programmes - guiding clients from strategy through to execution. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams and ensure solutions are both innovative and practical. Your leadership will help organisations navigate disruption and build resilient, future-ready operations.
You’ll be ready to lead the delivery of complex transformation programmes for large organisations, while actively leading business development and the growth of our practice.
You will work closely with clients to tackle their biggest challenges, including redesigning customer journeys, delivering change roadmaps, aligning business and technology transformation and standing up new AI and agentic services. Your focus will be on driving operational improvements and cost reduction, enhancing customer experience and strengthening market competitiveness.
You will bring deep knowledge of the GB retail energy market, gained through experience working for or with energy retail suppliers and/or code managers, alongside a strong blend of consulting and industry expertise in delivering technology-driven transformation programmes.
Our support spans traditional B2C and B2B energy retail market challenges, billing, CRM, debt management and operational and cost optimisation, while also enabling innovation through leveraging emerging technologies such as agentic AI, helping clients position themselves as market leaders.
Role
As part of your role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through the following areas:
- Business Development - Identify client improvement opportunities, lead proactive proposals or respond to RFPs, build new propositions, lead client pitches and host at events
- Practice Development - Lead activities to develop the Energy & Utilities practice, such as creating thought leadership, driving operations, recruitment, team events & people development
- Learning & development - Access training and certifications to support your career growth and align with evolving business needs.
Your Profile
As a Managing Consultant / Senior Manager, you’ll bring a minimum of 8 years consulting or relevant industry experience.
You will bring deep knowledge of the GB retail energy market, gained through experience working for or with energy retail suppliers and/or code managers. You will have insights, relationships and experience of the organisations and programmes that are in scope.

You will bring personal experience of delivering change in a hands-on way - leaders in our business roll up their sleeves and play an active role in solving clients’ challenges.
You will have proven experience in one or more of the following key areas of expertise:
- Experience managing teams and multiple workstreams in complex delivery environments, fostering practice development, team building, and mentoring junior colleagues
- Experience delivering a range of technology-driven Energy Retail transformation programmes, your experience should cover:
- Customer Experience (CX) Strategy: Designing and implementing CX strategies that enhance customer engagement, improve satisfaction, and align with business objectives
- Customer Journey Transformation: Mapping end-to-end journeys, identifying pain and gain points, analysing and quantifying (AI and digital) improvement opportunities and subsequently delivering the relevant changes in an agile manner.
- CX Platforms & Associated Technologies: Expertise in CRM and Billing platforms, including re-platforming initiatives. Skilled in identifying opportunities to leverage technology, defining end-to-end solutions, and integrating these seamlessly across business, customer, and operational domains.
- Operational and Service Improvements: Driving efficiency and performance through new ways of working, operating model transformation and organisation design to support future growth and regulatory compliance.
- Managing Industry Change: Supporting clients through significant market and regulatory changes, enabling them to adapt quickly and capitalise on new opportunities while maintaining business continuity.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage emerging technologies, including generative and agentic AI, to address key challenges faced by Energy Retailers. Skilled in identifying opportunities for Capgemini to harness these innovations to accelerate delivery and enhance business outcomes.
- Business development experience driving the development of new business in the market. Utilising a combination of our organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, you’ll generate new business.
