Capgemini Invent – AI Tokenomics Managing Consultant

At Capgemini Invent, we believe difference drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we blend our strategic, creative and scientific capabilities, collaborating closely with clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Join us to drive transformation tailored to our clients' challenges of today and tomorrow. Informed and validated by science and data. Superpowered by creativity and design. All underpinned by technology created with purpose.

About the Role

As an AI Tokenomics Managing Consultant, you will lead the development, delivery, and continual improvement of AI Tokenomics capabilities. You'll help organisations understand, govern, and optimise token-based AI consumption, connecting AI usage, cost, efficiency, and business value across generative and agentic AI workloads.

AI Tokenomics is an emerging extension of FinOps, focused on the economics of AI consumption, where tokens are treated as a key unit of AI computation, pricing, and value measurement. This discipline supports better visibility, attribution, forecasting, optimisation, and value realisation for AI services, working across technology, finance, product, and business stakeholders.

The AI Tokenomics Managing Consultant will be client-facing, responsible for shaping engagements, leading workstreams, developing operating models, and supporting senior stakeholders to embed financial accountability in AI adoption.

Example Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement AI Tokenomics and FinOps for AI strategies for internal and external clients.
  • Lead AI cost management maturity assessments, discovery workshops, and executive stakeholder sessions.
  • Define governance models, operating models, roles, processes, and reporting cadences for token-based AI consumption.
  • Align AI consumption with budgets, forecasts, and value expectations across technology, finance, product, sourcing, and business teams.
  • Develop AI spend visibility, allocation, forecasting, and showback/chargeback approaches across teams, products, use cases, and business outcomes.
  • Support clients in identifying AI cost and value optimisation opportunities, including model selection, usage patterns, prompt design, context management, caching, routing, agentic workflows.
  • Provide guidance on emerging AI pricing models, token-based consumption, commitment models, vendor comparisons, and commercial governance.
  • Lead the creation of executive reporting on AI usage, token consumption, efficiency, adoption, risk, and value realisation.
  • Shape and contribute to proposals, statements of work, client presentations, and leadership briefings.
  • Develop reusable consulting assets, playbooks, maturity models, frameworks, and accelerators to grow the AI Tokenomics practice.
  • Coach and support AI Tokenomics Analysts and wider FinOps team members.
  • Stay informed on emerging standards and guidance from the FinOps Foundation, Tokenomics Foundation, Linux Foundation, and FOCUS community.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
