What will you be doing?
As a consultant at capSpire, your role offers a challenging and varied client-facing environment, supporting major transformation projects across Europe for clients in power, gas, oil, and commodity trading. As a seasoned Allegro Consultant, you’ll lead engagements, drive solution architecture, and manage teams to deliver impactful Allegro ETRM implementations, combining deep technical expertise with strong leadership and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end Allegro project implementations and upgrades.
- Act as the senior technical architect for Allegro solution design, customisation, and integration.
- Oversee a team of consultants and developers; mentor junior staff and enforce best practices.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, define roadmaps, and ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
- Drive solution delivery from planning through to go-live and post-implementation support.
- Troubleshoot complex Allegro system issues and optimise system performance.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying new business opportunities.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities including proposal development and technical presentations.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years hands-on experience within Allegro (Horizon or Allegro 8) with 5 years in a senior or lead technical role.
- Proven track record in technical consultancy, preferably within a recognised consulting firm.
- Expert in .NET (C#), SQL, and Allegro's proprietary extension environment (e.g., Class Events).
- In-depth understanding of trade lifecycle management, risk management, and front-to-back ETRM processes.
- Experience integrating Allegro with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., SAP, market data feeds).
- Strong SQL skills and data model understanding.
- Leadership experience in managing technical teams and delivering complex projects.
- Ability to travel to client locations as per project requirements.

Preferred Experience:
- At least 7 years of experience as a subject matter expert or technical consultant in the Commodity Trading, Risk and Logistics business area in large enterprise environments.
- Strong technical understanding of power, gas, coal, & emissions/renewables trading.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team, including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary.
