AI Strategy & Data Platform Architecture & Engineering Consultant
Capgemini Invent
About the Role
At Capgemini Invent, difference drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we blend strategic, scientific, and creative capabilities to deliver cutting-edge solutions for our clients—organisations tackling today’s and tomorrow’s challenges with technology, data, and AI.
Join our AI Strategy team and be part of the future of AI consulting. We are reshaping how organisations adopt and scale AI, embedding Generative AI, agentic systems, and copilots across every aspect of their operations, competition, and value creation.
We are looking for experienced Strategy and AI leaders with strong commercial acumen—individuals who deeply understand AI technologies and can translate them into enterprise-wide transformations. You will lead engagements from strategy to execution, enabling the shift toward modern, AI-backed enterprises while contributing to the growth of the AI Strategy practice.
This role blends strategy, innovation, and delivery, and it’s ideal for professionals who thrive solving complex, multidimensional problems. You’ll drive these fronts:
- DESIGN: Lead autonomous, AI-powered data platforms. Evolve next-generation, self-optimising systems across hyperscale cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and embed agentic AI, creating platforms that reason, adapt, and act with minimal human input.
- ENABLE: Architect intelligent, hybrid, and multi-cloud data ecosystems—bridging the gap from legacy systems to AI-centric architectures that enhance scalability, performance, and resilience.
- INNOVATE: Design, deliver, and scale agentic and generative AI solutions, including agentic workflows, LLM-powered applications, and decision-intelligence platforms.
- AUTOMATE: Build and optimise data pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment workflows using DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- ADVISE: Shape enterprise data and AI strategy—developing blueprints, roadmaps, and stakeholder engagement plans for successful adoption.
- DELIVER: Champion user-centric design and storytelling to create compelling data solutions. Apply frameworks like TOGAF and DAMA to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability.
- SUPERCHARGE: Leverage AI to accelerate delivery and innovation for clients and the business. Experiment with new tech, proof-of-concepts, and automation to reduce friction and amplify impact.
Beyond Client Work
As part of your role, you’ll have opportunities to contribute to business growth, development, and personal progression:
- Business Development: Lead/contribute to proposals, RFPs, bids, client pitches, and event hosting.
- Internal Initiatives: Drive campaigns, internal think tanks, whitepapers, practice/team development, and recruitment.
- Learning & Growth: Access training and certifications—to support your career and contribute to skill gaps across the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
