We are seeking an accomplished Managing Director to lead our business through its next phase of development, ensuring our reputation for excellence continues to grow across domestic and international markets.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Board, the Managing Director will have overall responsibility for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of The Glenturret. You will lead a talented executive team and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver sustainable growth across whisky production, global brand development, hospitality, retail, and tourism operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing the long-term strategic vision for The Glenturret, while steering the business towards its strategic objectives and overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Maintaining a strong focus on growth, efficiency, and long-term success, ensuring that every department aligns with the company's vision.
- Strengthening the premium and luxury positioning of The Glenturret brand globally.
- Providing leadership across commercial performance, including sales, marketing, tourism, retail, operations, and finance.
- Ensuring excellence across whisky production, visitor experience, accommodation, dining, and customer service.
- Maintaining regular engagement with the Board through scheduled meetings, providing updates and reporting on all key matters relating to The Glenturret, including financial performance.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, customers, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
- Overseeing the company’s financial performance, investments and business ventures, while identifying opportunities to enhance operations, drive growth and expand market presence.
- Encouraging innovation while safeguarding the heritage and authenticity of the brand.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture where people can thrive, develop, feel valued, and contribute their best work.
- Ensuring robust governance, compliance, risk management, and health & safety standards, while embedding company policies, legal requirements, and ethical business practices throughout the organisation and ensuring they are consistently understood and followed.

About You
We are seeking an experienced and engaging leader with the strategic vision, commercial insight, and people-centred leadership style needed to inspire teams, elevate guest experiences, and grow an iconic luxury brand.
Essential Experience
- Significant senior leadership experience within a diverse, operationally complex business, at Managing Director, CEO, General Manager, or equivalent level.
- Experience within premium spirits, whisky, wine, hospitality, luxury retail, tourism, FMCG, or lifestyle brands.
- A proven track record of delivering change, commercial growth and business transformation.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within a consumer-facing business and developing senior leaders.
- Strong financial and operational management capability, with a sound understanding of corporate finance, performance measures, corporate law, and management best practices.
- Demonstrable success in developing premium or luxury brands.
- Experience engaging with Boards, investors, and senior stakeholders.
- An engaging and authentic leadership style that inspires people, promotes inclusion, and builds alignment, collaboration, accountability, and trust.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- A commitment to fostering a culture where diversity of thought, background, and experience is valued.

Desirable Experience
- Understanding of international distribution and export markets.
- Network within the Scotch whisky industry.
- Experience managing complex visitor attractions or hospitality operations.
