A newly established, founder-led European investment platform is looking to collaborate with an experienced private equity professional to originate, develop and execute mid-market investments across European industrial products and services.
The platform is being built around a small group of experienced investors and industry executives. This opportunity is designed for an established investor who is now interested in a more entrepreneurial model: helping shape the platform, taking greater ownership of the opportunities they originate and participating meaningfully in the economics of successful investments.
The Opportunity
The platform pursues control-oriented investments in established European industrial and industrial-services businesses, with a flexible approach to transaction size and capital structure.
The successful individual would join in a senior capacity and help shape the platform’s origination and execution, with scope to:

- Originate proprietary and relationship-driven investment opportunities.
- Develop relationships with business owners, management teams, advisers, and intermediaries.
- Lead investments from initial assessment through underwriting, negotiation, financing, and completion.
- Help assemble debt and equity capital around individual transactions.
- Work with experienced industry executives around portfolio-company governance and value creation.
- Participate meaningfully in the economics of investments they help create and execute, including transaction economics, promote/carry, equity participation, and co-investment as appropriate.
The model is deliberately entrepreneurial and transaction-led, providing substantial autonomy and economic participation rather than recreating the structure of a traditional institutional private equity fund.
Experience
We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate:
- Substantial private equity investing experience, ideally at Director, Managing Director, or Partner level.
- A strong track record in industrial products, industrial services, engineered products, specialist manufacturing, or related B2B sectors.
- Personal involvement in sourcing, executing, and successfully exiting investments.
- Genuine owner, adviser, and intermediary relationships capable of generating actionable opportunities.
- Experience leading transactions rather than solely supporting investment teams.
- Strong commercial judgement and comfort operating without the infrastructure of a large fund.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and desire to participate directly in the value they create.

Experience across the UK, DACH, Italy, France, Benelux, Spain, or the Nordics would be particularly relevant.
This could suit someone leaving an established private equity platform, building a portfolio career, considering an independent-sponsor model, or looking for a more entrepreneurial way to continue investing.
