About Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services

Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services (DSFS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We provide a wide range of critical support services that enable high-quality patient care to the Trust Group and beyond, including estates and facilities management, ICT, commercial and financial services. About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Managing Director to lead DSFS through an exciting period of opportunity, growth, and transformation. Reporting to the Chair of the Trust Board and accountable to the Trust Chief Executive, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, performance and governance of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused services to our core customer
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, commercial growth and continuous improvement
  • Lead the development of an effective executive team and delivery of our company strategy
  • Provide assurance to our stakeholders, maintaining the highest standards of governance, compliance and risk management
  • Be a visible, compassionate and commercially astute leader, driving collaboration, shaping culture, and inspiring colleagues

About You

We are looking for an ambitious and inspirational leader with significant board-level experience and a proven track record of leading complex organisations through improvement and development. You will bring strong experience of delivering business growth, improving performance and leading high-performing teams.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in healthcare, the public sector, or a relevant commercial service environment
