Managing Director | Leveraged Finance Origination-Sponsor Coverage | London

A leading global investment bank is seeking to appoint a Managing Director to its London-based financing platform. The successful individual will play a pivotal role in driving origination efforts across leveraged finance and sponsor clients, with responsibility for developing senior relationships, sourcing new business opportunities, and leading complex transaction execution across EMEA.

This opportunity would suit an established Managing Director with a strong track record in either Leveraged Finance Origination or Sponsor Coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate and lead leveraged finance opportunities across private equity-backed and corporate clients.
  • Develop and maintain senior relationships with private equity sponsors, CEOs, CFOs, and key decision-makers.
  • Drive financing solutions across acquisition financings, refinancings, recapitalisations, and other strategic transactions.
  • Partner closely with industry coverage, capital markets, syndication, and risk teams to deliver best-in-class outcomes for clients.
  • Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the broader franchise across the UK and EMEA.
  • Act as a senior leader and mentor within the platform.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
