MANAGING DIRECTOR
SPECTRUM FRANCHISING LIMITED T/A RAINBOW RESTORATION
Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
An exciting opportunity to lead the continued growth and development of an established national franchise network with combined annual turnover of approximately £44m.
Spectrum Franchising Limited t/a Rainbow Restoration, supports a nationwide network of independently owned property restoration businesses. Spectrum Franchising Limited itself has an annual turnover of approximately £4m.
We are now seeking an exceptional Managing Director to build on the company’s strong foundations, strengthen its market position and deliver profitable, sustainable growth for both Spectrum Franchising Limited and the wider Rainbow Restoration franchise network.
THE ROLE
The Managing Director will have overall responsibility for the leadership, strategy, financial performance and continued development of Spectrum Franchising Limited and the franchise network.
Working closely with the Board, leadership team and franchisees, you will shape and deliver a clear strategy for the future of the business. You will identify new commercial opportunities, strengthen existing customer relationships and ensure plans are translated into measurable results.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring commercial judgement, entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to bring people together around a clear direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the strategic, commercial and operational direction of the business
- Delivering sustainable growth in revenue and profitability
- Maintaining a strong understanding of cash flow, operating margins and balance-sheet strength
- Identifying opportunities to develop Rainbow Restoration’s core services across new customers and sectors
- Strengthening relationships with existing customers, suppliers and strategic partners
- Supporting franchisees to grow profitable and successful businesses
- Developing franchisor support, training, governance and operational standards
- Improving efficiency and performance across Spectrum Franchising Limited and the wider franchise network
- Providing visible and engaging leadership throughout the organisation

THE FRANCHISE NETWORK
Our franchisees are central to Rainbow Restoration’s success and provide the experience, expertise and national capability behind the brand.
The Managing Director will build strong and mutually beneficial relationships across the network, ensuring franchisees receive the support, leadership and commercial opportunities needed to develop their businesses.
The successful candidate will understand how to balance the priorities of the franchisor with those of independently owned franchise businesses, creating long-term value for both.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an accomplished commercial leader with a strong record of business growth, financial improvement and organisational leadership.
You may currently be a Managing Director, Divisional Managing Director, Commercial Director, Operations Director or hold another senior position with significant financial and organisational responsibility.
You will bring:
- A proven record of delivering profitable business growth
- Strong commercial and financial understanding across the wider business
- The ability to turn strategy and ideas into practical results
- Experience of leading and developing senior teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The confidence to operate at Board level and engage effectively throughout the organisation
- The ability to inspire people and create momentum around a shared vision

Experience within franchising, property services or a related sector would be advantageous but is not essential. We welcome candidates from other sectors who can demonstrate the leadership, commercial ability and strategic thinking required to develop an established national business.
LOCATION AND WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
The role is based at Spectrum House in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, with travel throughout the UK as required.
We recognise the importance of flexible and hybrid working. However, this is a visible leadership role, and the successful candidate will be expected to maintain a regular presence at Spectrum House and across the franchise network, adapting their working arrangements to meet the needs of the business.
REMUNERATION
A competitive executive remuneration package will be offered, reflecting the experience, capability and track record of the successful candidate. Full details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
