Managing Director of Investment Platform Solutions
FLP Atrato Consulting, the investment consulting division of FLP, is seeking a Managing Director of Investment Platform Solutions. This role manages the relationships, content/collateral, and education supporting the FLP internal open architecture platform in addition to playing a key role in supporting external RIA clients of the FLP Atrato Consulting business line. The Managing Director of Investment Platform Solutions could be based in Boston, MA, New York City, NY, or Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Build:
- Continue to build out the open architecture platform of 3rd party investment manager relationships across traditional and alternative asset classes and vehicle types.
- Lead the firm's Open Architecture Committee in collaboration with the heads of asset allocation, market strategy, and private client services.
Business Development:
- Maintain up to date collateral for all recommended investment strategies on the platform in conjunction with the staff supporting this effort.
- Be the primary resource for educating and preparing IAs to utilize investment managers from the platform with clients and prospects.
- Maintain and build the relationship with FLP's platform technology partners and custodial channels to ensure seamless implementation of investment solutions into client portfolios.

FLP Atrato Consulting:
- Build, maintain, and represent open architecture strategy elements and capabilities in the business development and service of external RIA/Wealth Management platform clients of FLP Atrato.
Essential Functions:
- Serves as a primary resource for platform related issues and questions
- Develops and implements the strategic platform plan to keep FLP competitive in the market
- Routinely evaluates and audits various platforms to ensure compliance and optimization
- Oversees the development and implementation of key business initiatives
- Maintains current working knowledge of industry trends and best practices
- Represents FLP in the market to drive organic growth
- Oversees financial performance, including revenue generation, profitability, resource allocation, and risk management
- Liaise with the Technology Team to ensure clients benefit from integrated online services
- Develops budgets, monitors expenses
- Develops FLP's reputation as a leader in the investment consulting industry
- Represents FLP in the market to drive organic growth by participating in forums, authoring white papers, and contributing to industry publications
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certifications (CFA, CAIA, CIMA) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in investment analysis across various asset classes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of alternative investment strategies, asset classes, and vehicle types.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and other software related to business needs (Bloomberg, Salesforce, etc.)
- Maintain a positive, solutions focused attitude
- Be intellectually curious, respectful, and kind throughout all dimensions of the workplace
- Ability to use good judgement and always keep client information confidential
- Deliver consistent excellent customer service to internal and external customers, colleagues and management
- Serve as a teacher, leader, and coach for direct reports
- Have superior organizational and communication skills
