The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to help lead the development of Bank of America’s Digital Asset Transformation capability within the International and Global Enterprise Strategy & Platform groups.

Digital assets are reshaping financial markets, payments, custody, settlement, collateral, and client solutions. As the ecosystem develops beyond cryptocurrency into broader financial market infrastructure, the firm is strengthening its capability to identify and prioritise commercial opportunities, respond to regulatory developments, and deliver scalable business outcomes.

We are seeking a commercially-minded Digital Asset Transformation Managing Director to shape the firm’s digital asset agenda and lead strategic initiatives within a global regulated banking environment. The role will identify and prioritise opportunities across tokenisation, digital securities, stablecoins, digital collateral, custody, settlement, and market infrastructure, translating them into clear investment recommendations, business cases, governance frameworks, operating models, and implementation strategies.

This is a senior leadership role extending beyond traditional programme management. The successful candidate will bring deep digital asset expertise, strong commercial and strategic judgement, a practical understanding of distributed ledger technology, and the ability to influence investment and execution decisions across a complex global organisation. The role also offers opportunities to apply this expertise across broader enterprise-wide and international initiatives.

Acting as a trusted adviser to senior business leadership, the Managing Director will set strategic direction and lead initiatives from opportunity assessment through governance, approval, and help coordinate enterprise execution. They will build alignment across business, product, technology, operations, legal, compliance, risk, finance, and regulatory affairs to determine where the firm should invest, establish scalable approaches, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Oversee enterprise delivery, including key milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, investment decisions, and transition into sustainable business ownership.
  • Shape scalable governance and operating models covering decision rights, processes, controls, accountabilities, escalation routes, and implementation readiness.
  • Represent the digital asset transformation agenda in senior internal forums and, where appropriate, external regulatory, industry, and strategic partner discussions.
  • Connect regional and global initiatives to establish consistency, identify cross-business opportunities, and manage duplication, dependencies, or competing priorities.
  • Build and lead the Digital Asset Transformation capability, directing multidisciplinary teams and developing the structure, talent, and delivery approach required as the agenda evolves.
