Managing Director – Public Sector (Home Office & Policing)

Salary: £160,000 – £200,000 + Executive Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
Location: London (Hybrid)

The Opportunity

A leading global management consultancy is looking to appoint a Managing Director to join its growing Public Sector practice, with a particular focus on Home Office, Policing and wider Home & Foreign Affairs. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an established consulting leader with deep relationships across central government, policing and law enforcement. You'll play a pivotal role in growing strategic client accounts, winning major transformation programmes and leading complex engagements that help shape the future of public services.

You'll work directly with senior leaders across organisations including the Home Office, Police Forces, National Policing bodies and wider Home & Foreign Affairs organisations, helping them tackle some of their most complex operational and transformation challenges.

The Role

As a Managing Director, you'll be responsible for driving growth across a portfolio of Home Office and Policing clients, developing long-term executive relationships, leading major consulting engagements and building high-performing consulting teams. This is a highly commercial role where you'll combine business development, client leadership and delivery oversight to grow strategic accounts and win large-scale transformation programmes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
