An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially astute business leader to take full responsibility for a profitable, highly respected specialist business operating within a successful engineering group.
With complete P&L accountability and significant autonomy, you will inherit a business with strong foundations, loyal customers, and a reputation for technical excellence. The mandate is clear: build on an established platform, accelerate growth, strengthen customer relationships, and drive the next phase of strategic development as Managing Director.
Operating at the forefront of sensors, controls, and integrated systems within the BMS and HVAC/R sectors, the business delivers mission-critical solutions where performance, reliability, and technical expertise are essential. Its products and services are embedded within customer operations across a range of industrial and commercial environments where failure is simply not an option.

The opportunity:
- Full responsibility for business performance, strategy, and growth

The person:
You are likely to be an experienced Managing Director, General Manager, Business Unit Director, or Divisional Director with a proven track record of delivering profitable growth.
You will bring:
- Full P&L leadership experience within an engineering, technical products, systems, or solutions environment
- A strong commercial mindset coupled with operational credibility
- Experience leading teams through growth, change, and continuous improvement
- The ability to build trusted relationships with customers, colleagues, and Board-level stakeholders
- A leadership style characterized by accountability, integrity, pragmatism, and ambition
- Experience within BMS, HVAC/R, controls, automation, instrumentation, sensing technologies, or related technical markets would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from broader engineered products and systems backgrounds.
