About TF Solutions
Part of Travis Perkins plc, TF Solutions is a rapidly expanding, one-stop distributor of climate control and refrigeration solutions, delivering market-leading products and technical expertise across the UK.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive, the Managing Director will develop and implement a leading-edge business strategy encompassing new product and market development to exploit opportunities in existing sectors in the UK.
The role has primary responsibility for the profitability and growth of TF Solutions and sets the overall strategic direction including a range of activities including sales, marketing, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and execute a strategic plan designed to optimise performance. This will be demonstrable through positive sales turnover growth and increased profit margin.
- Inherit a growing business with the objective to evolve the business by delivering innovative sustainable products.
- Control of all aspects of the business and for the balance sheet including forecasting and budgeting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the senior leadership team.
- Delivery of sales growth across all customer channels including builders merchants and distribution, project specification, sub and main contractors, and growth markets.
- Work closely with and collaborate with customers, partners, suppliers, and key stakeholders within the business to maximise sales and become intimate with the inner workings of all sides of the group.

Experience, Skills, and Behaviours
- A well-rounded commercially focused Managing Director with full P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility.
- Commercial background with a strong understanding of the construction supply chain with exposure and experience developing business through builders' merchants, buying groups, contractors.
- Proven experience of creating and managing a fast-growing and highly successful business.
- Demonstrable track record of success in driving organisational change and delivering results embracing innovation.
- Proven track record of growing businesses profitably.
- Understands and manages risk - commercial, operational, financial.
- An open, down-to-earth, and likeable personality with honesty, integrity, and strong business acumen.
- A charismatic leader who clearly demonstrates an ability to empower and motivate a team.
- Exceptional skills in communication, motivation, and interpersonal relations, and able to convey a message that is understandable and relevant, linking business issues, financial results, and strategy.
