Managing Director - Specialist Housing & Care

London
£200,000 + Bonus + Benefits

This is a rare opportunity to create and lead a specialist housing and care platform with significant backing, an existing property portfolio, and the freedom to shape the future direction of the business.

We are looking for an exceptional sector leader to join a well-capitalised property business that owns assets across London and is committed to investing in specialist housing and care. The foundations are in place. What we need now is the individual with the expertise, relationships and vision to turn property into purpose-driven, income-generating services that make a real difference to people's lives.

This is not a role for someone who wants to inherit an established operation. This is a role for someone who wants to build one.

The Opportunity:

As Managing Director, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a growth strategy that transforms existing assets into commissioned, operational supported housing and care schemes.

  • Working directly with Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), Registered Providers, Housing Associations and Care Providers, you will identify demand, develop delivery models and bring schemes to life.
  • You will have the autonomy and authority to shape partnerships, influence investment decisions and establish a platform capable of significant long-term growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a highly entrepreneurial role where success will be measured not by maintaining the status quo, but by creating new opportunities, opening new schemes and building a sustainable portfolio of services that commissioners actively want and need.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and leading the overall specialist housing and care strategy.
  • Building senior-level relationships with Local Authorities, NHS and ICB commissioners across London.
  • Identifying unmet demand and translating commissioner need into viable housing and care solutions.
  • Structuring partnerships with Registered Providers, Housing Associations and Care Providers.
  • Taking schemes from initial concept through mobilisation and into operational delivery.
  • Evaluating acquisition, conversion and development opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Managing commercial performance, investment decisions and business planning.
  • Presenting opportunities, recommendations and growth plans to the Board and investors.
  • Building a market-leading reputation within the specialist housing and care sector.

Who We're Looking For:

You are likely to be a senior leader within supported housing, specialist housing, social care, health commissioning or a closely related sector.

Most importantly, you are someone who knows how schemes actually get delivered. You understand how to navigate the complex relationships between commissioners, housing providers, care operators and funders. You know who the key decision-makers are, and they know who you are.
