Brief Description

Ideals Today BV, a PCS Wireless company, operates a direct-to-consumer business focused on mobile accessories and related products. We are seeking a Managing Director to take overall responsibility for the performance and operations of the business.

The Managing Director will have end-to-end accountability for Ideals Today BV, including commercial performance, operations, financial results, customer experience, and oversight of the third-party service provider supporting the business. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can drive growth, improve performance, and ensure strong execution across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the overall strategy, P&L, performance, and day-to-day oversight of Ideals Today BV.
  • Develop and execute plans to drive revenue growth, profitability, and sustainable business performance.
  • Oversee key business areas, including e-commerce, operations, inventory, fulfillment, customer experience, and financial performance.
  • Manage the third-party service provider, establishing clear expectations, KPIs, service levels, and accountability.
  • Monitor financial, commercial, and operational performance and take action to address gaps and opportunities.
  • Evaluate pricing, product assortment, promotions, customer trends, and market opportunities.
  • Drive improvements in customer experience, operational efficiency, processes, and cost management.
  • Partner with PCS Wireless leadership and functional teams to ensure alignment with broader business priorities.
  • Manage key vendors and external partners and ensure appropriate business controls and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify business risks and opportunities and provide clear recommendations to PCS Wireless leadership.

Requirements

Who You Are:

  • Experienced business leader with responsibility for a business, business unit, or significant commercial operation.
  • Experience in direct-to-consumer, e-commerce, retail, consumer electronics, mobile accessories, or a related industry.
  • Strong P&L management, financial, and commercial acumen.
  • Experience overseeing multiple business functions and managing third-party service providers or outsourced operations.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce, including pricing, inventory, fulfillment, and customer experience.
  • Data-driven, commercially minded, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience operating within European markets; excellent English communication skills, with additional European languages an advantage.
