Salary: £75,000–£85,000 per annum, plus profit share and a long-term incentive

Are you an experienced senior leader with the commercial and operational experience to take ownership of the day-to-day running and future growth of a technology business?

Our client is an established technology business entering an exciting period of change and growth. The company helps organisations overcome challenges with their systems and data through digital strategy, software, data, AI, automation and managed support.

They are looking for an experienced Managing Director to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the business, leading the leadership team and taking responsibility for financial performance, commercial growth, client relationships, people and operations.

This is a senior leadership position offering genuine autonomy and accountability. You will set priorities, make key business decisions and ensure the leadership team delivers against agreed objectives, allowing the Directors to step away from the day-to-day running of the company.

If you are looking for an opportunity to run a business rather than simply manage a department, this could be the role for you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
