Interim to Permanent Managing Director / General Manager

Location: Somerset region

Start: Immediate - you will need to be immediately available or able to start within a month

We are supporting a specialist UK manufacturing/engineering business in the appointment of an immediately available Interim Managing Director / General Manager to lead a significant operational transformation and turnaround programme.

This is a hands-on leadership mandate, taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business while delivering an established transformation plan. The successful individual will be expected to quickly assess the operation, establish clear priorities and drive measurable improvements across manufacturing, people, processes, and commercial performance. A potential site relocation forms part of the wider strategic considerations for the business, so previous experience of successfully planning and delivering a manufacturing site move would be highly advantageous.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Previous involvement in a factory/site relocation, consolidation, or significant facilities project highly desirable.
