Job Description

We're looking for a talented Managing Intelligence Analyst to primarily support our Counter Fraud team and the Fraud and Financial Crime practice area. You’ll deliver expert analytical support across a diverse national client base, and you’ll be passionate about developing the role as an integral part of the firm's legal services.

The role

This is a fee-earning intelligence role at the heart of our Counter Fraud team and Fraud and Financial Crime practice area, based in our Birmingham office and serving clients nationally. You’ll carry real responsibility for identifying and growing the firm's intelligence offering, supporting insurers, local authorities, public sector bodies, and corporate clients across due diligence, litigation support, fraud investigations, and asset tracing. As the managing analyst for the Counter Fraud & Intelligence team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of service delivery to all clients at all times.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conducting detailed OSINT desktop investigations and intelligence enquiries and analysis, and preparing reports and recommendations for clients.
  • Providing ad hoc intelligence advice and investigation support to the Counter Fraud and wider client teams; preparing witness statements; preserving searches and intelligence enquiries as court-ready evidence; and attending court as required.
  • Independently managing GDPR-compliant DPA requests to other insurers and businesses (including IFIG and DVLA vehicle histories) and completing UK GDPR/DPA-compliant information requests in a timely fashion on instruction from fee earners and/or clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
