What will you be doing?
We are looking for an experienced commercial professional to take ownership of valuations, contract administration and change management across a portfolio of projects. You will ensure valuations and applications are submitted accurately and on time, monitor certifications, payments and cashflow, and act as the first point of escalation for disputes and rejections. - You'll play a key role in managing cost and value performance, ensuring alignment between commercial reporting, project costs and contract value.
- Responsibilities will include validating cost data, maintaining accurate accruals and margin reporting, overseeing subcontract administration, and building strong relationships with supply chain partners.
- You will support the resolution of commercial issues and disputes, manage change events effectively and maximise recovery opportunities across your projects.
- The role also requires strong contract performance management and record keeping.
- You will maintain accurate commercial records, notices, correspondence and risk registers, while ensuring all site and subcontract documentation remains compliant and up to date.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
