Job Opportunity: Senior and Managing Quantity Surveyors
We are seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors (SQS) and Managing Quantity Surveyors (MQS) to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Management of project costs from pre-construction through to final account.
- Preparation and submission of applications for payment, valuations and variations.
- Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors.
- Contract administration under NEC contracts.
- Cost forecasting, reporting and risk management.
- Change control and compensation event management.
- Management of project cash flow and profitability.
- Liaison with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners.
- Preparation and presentation of monthly commercial reports.
- For MQS positions, leading and mentoring commercial teams while overseeing multiple packages or projects.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.
- Strong background in highways, flood alleviation, water, utilities or major infrastructure projects.
- Excellent understanding of NEC contracts.
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts and commercial negotiations.
- Strong financial reporting and forecasting skills.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- MRICS membership is advantageous but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
