Managing Quantity Surveyor | Civil Engineering | £85,000 - £95,000 | London or Midlands
Are you a Managing Quantity Surveyor with doubts about future works in your current role? Are you already managing a small team and a portfolio but lacking the recognition/MQS title? Are you a Managing QS looking for a little more flexibility with WFH?
If so, I may be able to help…
I am partnered with one of the largest Infrastructure groups in the UK who is in the market for a Core Managing Quantity Surveyor to join them.
I use the word Core as this is not to lead a single project for a specific amount of time, but to join the heart of the business and lead a portfolio of schemes for the foreseeable future.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
