Cedar is partnering with a rapidly growing international group to recruit a newly or recently qualified Management Accountant. With operations across several European markets and further expansion planned, this is an excellent opportunity to broaden your commercial experience within an ambitious business.
You will take ownership of the monthly management accounts for several group entities, from month-end close through to reporting and commentary. Working closely with senior finance and operational stakeholders, you will explain performance, investigate variances and provide insight to support business decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Own the month-end close and prepare accurate, timely management accounts for multiple entities.
- Deliver meaningful variance analysis and commentary, explaining the underlying drivers of performance.
- Partner with operational teams to investigate margins, costs, accruals and work in progress.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and working capital management.
- Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, systems and reporting.
- Support tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assist with year-end statutory accounts and the external audit.

About you
You will be newly or recently qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, with experience preparing management accounts gained in practice or industry. You will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, confident Excel skills and an analytical approach. The ability to communicate clearly with non-finance colleagues, take ownership of the reporting cycle and follow issues through to resolution will be essential.

Experience in a project-led business, multi-currency accounting or Sage Intacct would be beneficial, alongside familiarity with UK GAAP or international local accounting standards. You will join a supportive finance team offering exposure to senior leadership, international operations and strategic projects.
