The Vacancy

Our Early Careers team is delighted to invite students and aspiring solicitors to apply for our Manchester Networking Evening, taking place in our Manchester office on Thursday 10 September, 16:30.

This informal evening has been designed to give attendees the opportunity to learn more about Fieldfisher, our people and the breadth of work across our Manchester practice areas. Rather than a formal skills development session, the focus will be on conversation, connection and giving you the chance to ask questions directly to people from across the firm.

Throughout the evening, you will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from a range of departments, hear more about the type of work they do and gain insight into what a career at Fieldfisher could look like for you.

Departments You Will Meet

During the evening, attendees will have the chance to speak to colleagues from the following departments:

  • Intellectual Property
  • Corporate
  • EPIC
  • Personal Injury & Medical Negligence
  • Dispute Resolution
  • Real Estate

What to Expect

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
