Mandarin / English Sales Manager (UG Market)

Contract Type: Full-time Permanent

Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £38,000 per annum + uncapped commissions

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the UG B2C sales team while taking direct ownership of student conversion from B2B partner channels.

You will manage the full sales pipeline, coach the sales team towards signing and enrolment targets, and personally manage and convert student leads generated through our school and institutional partnerships. Your deep expertise in the UK undergraduate application system will also be essential for advising students, supporting complex cases, and upskilling your team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Leadership & Conversion

  • Manage the end-to-end UG sales pipeline, including lead allocation, qualification, conversion forecasting, and target delivery.
  • Drive team signing and enrolment performance through proactive pipeline management and effective closing strategies.
  • Take direct ownership of B2B-sourced student leads generated by the UG Business Development function, from initial consultation through signing and enrolment.
  • Monitor B2C and B2B conversion performance separately and identify actions required to improve results.

2. Team Management & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team.
  • Set clear objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide structured training.
  • Support new joiners through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
  • Ensure team members maintain strong consultation skills, product knowledge, and application knowledge.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
