Responsibilities
Mandarin or Cantonese speaking Assistant Finance Manager
Location: London
Hybrid work: 1 day a week in the office
Salary: up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience
The Role
- Lead and oversee the Accounts Payable function ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing and payments
- Manage month-end and year-end reporting including financial and management accounts
- Oversee cash flow, banking activities, and intercompany transactions ensuring effective financial management
- Supervise finance and accounting operations within the business providing guidance and support to the wider team
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis identifying opportunities, risks, and areas for improved performance
- Maintain strong financial controls, tax compliance, and audit processes ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and Group policies
- Partner with internal stakeholders and company Head Office providing clear financial information and supporting business decisions
- Lead and support finance projects, system implementations, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement

Candidate's Profile

- Fluent in English and Mandarin OR Cantonese (written and spoken) essential
- Degree in Finance / Accountancy or similar
- Professionally qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) necessary
- Experience working in a finance role is needed
- Strong experience across financial accounting, reporting, controls, and cash flow management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong commercial awareness
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to take ownership and work to deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel
- SAP experience is desirable
- Must have the right to work in the UK
