About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a credit risk professional with around 3+ years of experience within commercial, corporate or investment banking. We are working with an international bank in London who is looking for a Credit Portfolio Officer to join its Credit Management team. The role will focus on credit portfolio analysis and monitoring, identifying emerging credit risks and early warning indicators, supporting stress testing and credit loss analysis, and providing portfolio risk reporting to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse the Bank’s corporate and wholesale credit portfolio, identifying emerging risks, trends, and potential deterioration.
- Analyse key credit risk indicators including NPL ratios, concentration risk, country risk, sector exposure, and portfolio migration.
- Support the development and monitoring of early warning indicators and recommend appropriate risk mitigation actions.
- Prepare regular credit portfolio reports, MI, and analysis for senior management, committees, and other stakeholders.
- Support portfolio stress testing, economic scenario analysis, and credit loss forecasting.
- Assist with IFRS 9-related analysis, provisioning, and sensitivity testing.
- Support the monitoring and management of non-performing loans (NPLs), including assessment, reporting, and write-off processes.
- Conduct credit risk analysis using financial and portfolio data to identify patterns and areas of potential concern.
- Assist with credit risk policies, procedures, and operating manual reviews.
- Work closely with Credit Risk, Corporate Banking, and other internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in credit risk analysis within commercial, corporate, or investment banking.
- Good understanding of corporate/wholesale credit risk and portfolio monitoring.
- Experience in credit analysis, portfolio risk reporting, and early warning indicators.
- Exposure to stress testing, IFRS 9, ECL, provisioning, or credit loss analysis would be highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Good knowledge of Excel; experience with Power BI, SQL, or other data/reporting tools would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese are required.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Risk Management, or a related discipline preferred.
