Your New Job Title: Head of Financial Markets - Mandarin speaking
The Essential Skills You Need:
- Relevant UK experience in Financial Markets trading and treasury execution business including FX, MM, Derivatives, Rates, Credit, Volatility, and Commodities.
- Experience in managing a team.
Your New Salary:
- c£150k depending on experience + bonus
Report to:
- Deputy General Manager Front Office (SMF22)
Direct reports:
- Head of Treasury and a Senior Sales Trader
Location:
- London
Summary:
- Manage the Financial Markets trading and treasury execution business including FX, MM, Derivatives, Rates, Credit, Volatility, and Commodities.
- Develop and Oversee FMD staff.
- Be registered as a London branch Certified Person.
Head of Financial Markets - Mandarin speaking - What You'll be Doing Each Day:
- Performance and achievement against branch and department KPI’s.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and expectations of the UK and applicable International regulations.
- Adherence to the SMCR Individual Conduct Rules.
- Compliance with the Bank’s policies including but not limited to Anti Money Laundering / Anti – Bribery and Fraud.
- Completion of CPD training.
- Develop and support new product development.

Head of Financial Markets - Mandarin speaking - The skills you need to succeed:
- Extensive experience working in Financial markets in the international markets across products.
- Experience in working with Chinese counterparts in a fast growing small branch in London.
- Extensive use of Bloomberg, Reuters, and trading executions platforms.
- Good written and verbal presentation skills.
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to work cohesively with all levels both internally and externally.
- Broad and pragmatic thinker, capable of quickly interpreting information and presenting arguments in a clear and reasoned way.
- Thorough and accurate detailed analytical mind through which they are capable of identifying and communicating the key issues without getting lost in the detail.
- Accountable for own decisions and prepared to take ownership and responsibility for their duties.
- Degree educated.
- Professional UK Financial Markets Qualification or equivalent in China or other major markets.
- SMCR Certified Person / Previous regulatory authorisation as CF30 or equivalent regulatory authorisation preferred.
- FCA and PRA (UK regulators) approved person / registered trader or relevant or equivalent in China or other major markets.
