Mandarin Speaking IT Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Bank’s IT infrastructure, servers, networks and systems
  • Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange and related Microsoft infrastructure
  • Manage virtualised environments including VMware, vSphere, vCenter and ESXi
  • Support network infrastructure, switches, routers and firewalls
  • Manage backup, storage and system recovery solutions
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity and system availability
  • Support IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and testing
  • Maintain IT security controls and support infrastructure security reviews
  • Manage IT assets including servers, network devices, laptops, desktops and software
  • Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshoot infrastructure/system issues
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, system changes and IT projects
  • Liaise with Head Office, Data Centre and third-party technology vendors
  • Maintain IT procedures, technical documentation and management reports
  • Ensure IT operations comply with internal policies and UK banking regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure / Systems Engineering / IT Support
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Windows 10/11
  • Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, RDS and DFS
  • Hands-on VMware / vSphere / ESXi experience
  • Good understanding of network infrastructure, firewalls, routers and switching
  • Experience with Cisco, HP, Juniper and/or Huawei network technologies
  • Knowledge of backup technologies such as Veeam or Backup Exec
  • Experience with server hardware, infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Exposure to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity would be highly desirable
  • Banking or financial services experience would be a strong advantage
  • Fluent Mandarin and English are essential
