Fluent Mandarin is essential for this role. You'll use it every day with head office.
Our client is a major international bank with its UK headquarters in the City of London. They're looking for a bilingual IT Support Engineer to join their in-house IT team. Reporting to the Deputy Head of IT, you'll cover both desktop support and infrastructure, and you'll work closely with colleagues in London and at head office in China.

- Providing 2nd line support to users across the bank, face to face, by phone and by email
- Supporting Windows 10/11 desktops and Windows Server 2019, Exchange, Active Directory, RDS and DFS
- Maintaining the VMware/vSphere environment and managing backups with Veeam or Backup Exec
- Installing and troubleshooting server hardware, firewalls, routers and switches (HP, Cisco, Juniper or Huawei)
- Monitoring systems and fixing problems before they affect the business
- Liaising with head office in both Mandarin and English, verbally and in writing
What you'll need

- Fluent Mandarin and English, spoken and written (essential)
- 3+ years' IT support or infrastructure experience in a corporate environment
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, AD, Exchange and VMware
- Good working knowledge of networking and firewalls
- Banking or financial services experience is a plus
- Desirable: MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, VCP or CCNA/CCNP
