Job Overview
This is a good opportunity for someone with around two years of relevant experience in Treasury, dealing, financial markets, or banking operations who is looking to move into a broader dealing role. I’m currently working with an established international bank in London that is looking to appoint a Mandarin-speaking Junior Treasury Dealer. You will be reporting to the Head of Treasury, this position will support the bank’s daily liquidity management, risk management, and hedging activities. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in executing FX, money market, and interest rate swap transactions while working closely with senior Treasury colleagues, Head Office, and overseas branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Update daily Treasury positions and Nostro account balances
- Monitor Treasury limit utilisation and support applications for limit renewals and increases
- Execute FX, money market, and interest rate swap transactions within approved limits
- Use Bloomberg, Reuters, authorised brokers, and recorded telephone lines to execute trades
- Prepare daily trades for discussion and review with senior Treasury colleagues
- Book transactions into the bank’s internal system for verification
- Support MiFID II reporting where required
- Monitor credit, liquidity, and maturity mismatch ratios
- Assist with corrective actions to ensure the bank remains within approved limits
- Support the Treasury Dealer and Head of Treasury in providing competitive pricing and efficient execution for customers and internal departments
- Prepare regular and ad hoc Treasury reports for the London branch and Head Office
- Provide data and reports to support Asset and Liability Management activities
- Maintain and update Treasury counterparty KYC records
- Liaise with Operations, Risk, and Finance to support accurate and timely transaction processing
- Work closely with Treasury teams at Head Office and other overseas branches
- Ensure all Treasury activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies

- Fluent English and Mandarin
- Around two years of relevant experience in Treasury, dealing, financial markets, or a related banking function
- Practical knowledge of FX and money market products
- Exposure to interest rate swaps would be an advantage
- An understanding of liquidity management, Treasury limits, and trade processing
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
- A proactive approach and the ability to work well as part of a team
