Mandarin Speaking Real Estate Development & Project Coordinator
Location: London (office-based with regular site visits)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Probation Period: 6 months
Annual Salary: up to 35K
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Development & Project Coordinator to support the full lifecycle of residential property development projects across London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic property development and investment business focused on delivering value-add residential projects. The successful candidate will gain exposure to every stage of the development process, from acquisition and financing through construction management, compliance, and asset operations.
Key Responsibilities
Property Acquisition & Due Diligence
- Assist with sourcing and evaluating potential development opportunities.
- Liaise with estate agents, brokers, solicitors, lenders, and external consultants.
- Support feasibility assessments, market research, and project appraisals.
- Coordinate due diligence documentation for property acquisitions.
Development Finance & Compliance
- Assist with development finance and bridging loan applications.
- Coordinate communications with lenders, brokers, valuers, and solicitors.
- Support HMO licence applications and ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met.
- Assist with planning applications and building control processes where required.

Construction & Project Management
- Coordinate day-to-day refurbishment and conversion projects.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, budgets, and contractor performance.
- Attend site visits and support project delivery activities.
- Liaise with architects, contractors, surveyors, engineers, and local authorities.
- Track key project milestones and assist in resolving operational issues.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Source materials, fixtures, and fittings from UK and overseas suppliers.
- Manage supplier relationships and coordinate procurement schedules.
- Obtain quotations, compare costs, and support purchasing decisions.
- Monitor delivery timelines and ensure materials arrive according to project schedules.
Sales & Property Operations
- Support the sales process for completed developments.
- Assist with property management and operational requirements where needed.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
- Prepare management reports and project updates for senior stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Skills
- Fluent English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Commercial awareness and interest in real estate investment and development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AI-assisted productivity tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.

Desirable Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:
- HMO developments and licensing
- Commercial-to-residential conversions
- Property refurbishment projects
- Development finance or bridging finance
- Construction project management
- Property sourcing and acquisition
- Procurement and supplier management
- Residential property sales and lettings

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Willingness to travel to sites across London and surrounding areas.
- Keen interest in property investment and development.
Training & Career Development
Training will be provided across multiple aspects of the property development process, including:
- Property acquisition and investment analysis
- Development finance and lending processes
- HMO licensing and compliance
- Construction project management
- Procurement and supplier management
- Property operations and asset management
The successful candidate will work directly with experienced property professionals and gain hands-on exposure to live development projects from acquisition through to exit.
