Role Description
The Mandarin to English Interpreter will provide high-quality real-time interpretation for calls and virtual meetings, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate communication between Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking parties. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The interpreter will support a variety of contexts such as customer service, business communications, and potentially medical or legal discussions, following established protocols and client-specific guidelines. Additional tasks may include:
- Documenting key information
- Clarifying terminology
- Collaborating with supervisors to improve workflows and service quality
This is a full-time, fully remote role, requiring stable connectivity and the ability to work scheduled shifts across different time zones as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong Mandarin (native or near-native fluency) and English (advanced or native fluency) language skills, with excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension abilities.
- Proficiency in consecutive interpretation and sight translation, with accurate and neutral delivery and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally, especially in customer service, business, medical, or legal contexts.
- Comfort with remote work tools and call center technologies, including VoIP platforms, CRM systems, and secure communication channels.
- Clear, neutral accent and strong communication skills, including the ability to remain calm, empathetic, and solution-focused under pressure.
- Previous experience in interpretation, translation, or bilingual customer support is preferred; experience in medical or legal settings is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in languages, translation/interpretation, communication, or related fields is beneficial.
- Reliable high-speed internet, suitable home workspace, and the ability to work full-time shifts, including evenings or weekends if business needs require.
