Manufacturing Accountant - Myton Produce: Gadbrook
We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Manufacturing Finance team to support our Produce site in Gadbrook, Cheshire. We are looking for a driven individual with the ability to finance business partner the Gadbrook site leadership team. This is a site-based role sitting within the site leadership team.
At Myton Food Group, we have a legacy to be proud of. We buy from highly valued suppliers and we’re passionate about the quality of our food, but also the way we work as a team, in partnership across our supply chain.
Our site at Gadbrook is one of 4 sites across our Produce manufacturing division, specialising in packing a wide range of potatoes for a number of customers. We have recently grown the operation to include prepared potatoes and are in the process of investment to cater for the slice and dice market.
The site packs between 800k and 900k packs a week with annual sales in excess of c£50m. As Myton continues to grow with new customers it is pivotal that the finance team support this.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities
- Drive business performance through insight of daily and weekly performance, focusing on key KPIs and metrics to highlight opportunities.
- Support operations team to drive efficiencies and cost savings across the factory.
- Provide key support to the site operations teams with commercial insight.
- Accurate product costings for new business to drive growth across the group.
- Working with the centralised reporting team on the preparation of accurate site weekly & monthly accounts.
- Implement Cost Control measures and identify opportunities for cost optimisation across the manufacturing processes.
- Working with our sourcing teams to drive margin growth.
- Monitor and report on inventory levels and ensure accuracy of the values.
- Support production of budgets and forecasts.
- Play a vital role in the wider Produce Manufacturing Finance team to drive growth.

About You
Personal Requirements
- Proven experience as an accountant within manufacturing is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Hold a relevant finance qualification CIMA/ACCA, etc.
