As the Manufacturing Engineering Continuous Improvement Team Leader in Turbine Systems, you will engage, excite and inspire a team within the Precision Casting Facility.
What you will be doing:
- Leading a team of manufacturing engineering part owners in being accountable for the production methods used to produce over twenty fleet turbine component castings
- SAFETY – Be accountable for promoting the building of product safety at the heart of all production methods of manufacture, and promote a safety culture of Zero Harm within the organisation.
- QUALITY - Drive to Zero Defects. Work with all functions to reduce risks and drive product and service right first time. Ensure compliance to all relevant company legislative and technical policies and standards
- COST - Lead on driving cost reduction and yield improvement in methods of manufacture across all fleet parts, adhering to Annual Targets for part yield, cost of scrap, and promoting cost out initiatives
- DELIVERY - Support production to deliver against the customer plan, ensuring that part validation status is maintained, engineering barriers to delivery are removed and production issues are resolved through swift engineering support.

Position qualifications:
- Professionally qualified engineer (or equivalent) or with experience commensurate with the level of the role
- Able to demonstrate a strong track record within a manufacturing organisation including knowledge and experience of product introduction, continuous improvement or capability acquisition and advanced machining processes.
- Determined, enthusiastic engineer with a passion to succeed and a vision of how modern manufacturing should be achieved and able to demonstrate the ability or qualities required to lead and develop a team of Engineers.
- Effective organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple complex projects.
- Proven strong communicator with capability to exchange complex technical ideas and information in a concise manner in addition to the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
