Manufacturing Engineer – Precision Machining
📍 Leicestershire (On-site)
💰 £40,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Benefits

The business manufactures complex, high-precision components for a diverse range of demanding industries and continues to invest heavily in its machining capabilities, technology, and people. This is an opportunity to play a key role in optimising manufacturing processes, supporting new product introduction, and driving operational excellence.
The Role
You'll work closely with Production, Quality, and Design Engineering to develop and improve machining processes across a modern machine shop, supporting both existing products and new programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise CNC and manual machining processes, tooling, and workholding.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through Design for Manufacture (DFM) and process development.
- Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
- Provide hands-on technical support to resolve machining, quality, and production issues.
- Maintain manufacturing documentation, routings, and ERP data while supporting cross-functional projects.
About You
- Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a precision machining or machine shop environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, and machining processes.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and tight tolerance components.
- Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
- Degree, HND, or equivalent engineering qualification preferred.
