We now have an opportunity to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join our flagship manufacturing site in Havant, Hampshire, where you will help shape the future of hydraulic manufacturing through smarter processes, reliable testing systems, and continuous improvement. Your work will directly support products that improve energy efficiency, productivity, and sustainability around the world.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing new products into production, improving manufacturing performance, and ensuring our assembly and test processes are ready for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities. You will combine practical engineering expertise with data-driven decision-making to deliver measurable operational improvements.

Working closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams, you will help create safer, more efficient, and more capable manufacturing processes that drive quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and improve manufacturing and test processes to increase quality, productivity, and operational performance.
  • Support new product introduction projects by ensuring production and testing requirements are built in from the start.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean and problem-solving methods to reduce waste, improve flow, and increase efficiency.
  • Manage capital investment projects from business case through implementation to deliver measurable manufacturing benefits.
  • Maintain accurate production standards, process documentation, and manufacturing data to support consistent, reliable operations.

What We're Looking For

  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering, such as HNC / HND level or equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing, process, product, or production engineering within a technical manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements to develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Experience improving manufacturing processes, assembly methods, testing systems, or production performance.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across operational and engineering teams.
