Job Title

In line with continued growth and investment, Linell Precision Engineering seek to recruit a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with previous experience in producing programs for Multi-Axis CNC Milling and Turning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that internal procedures and objectives are adhered to in order to meet the quality standard of the business in accordance with ISO9001 and any other product certification requirement.
  • Complete daily programming tasks within the programming dept, while following the procedures in place to ensure the continued performance of the dept.
  • Optimise productivity (with regards to new tooling and machining methods) to meet production KPI’s and help drive reduction in cost of quality across the business.
  • Work with the production manager to deliver monthly production schedule.
  • Take responsibility for own programs and methods used, while considering new methods/tooling/work holding.
  • Generation of work packs and operation instructions for communication of job requirements to operators.
  • Completion of root cause analysis, containment, and preventative action when a non-conformance occurs.
  • Ensure machine maintenance program is followed and arrange any additional maintenance as required.

Experience

  • Previous offline CNC Programming experience using CAM software is essential (MasterCam is desirable although training can be arranged).
  • Proficient in CAD Software for 2D and 3D modelling (Solidworks is desirable although training can be arranged).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, 3D Models and customer specifications.
  • A understanding of Fanuc & HAAS CNC Controls.
  • Experience of 3 Axis and 3+2 Axis / 5 Axis Programming.
  • Sound understanding of CNC Machinery with the ability to "take control" when required to project manage new parts through the shopfloor.
  • Experience working with Exotic materials commonly used in Energy / Oil & Gas Sectors.
  • Assisting within the Engineering & Quality dept to achieve key deliverables including problem solving / Root Cause Analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Working knowledge ERP software is desirable.
