At Rapiscan Systems, we develop advanced cargo and vehicle inspection solutions that help secure borders, ports, military facilities, and critical infrastructure worldwide. Our innovative X-ray scanning technologies play a vital role in combating terrorism, illegal trafficking, smuggling, and trade fraud.

We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and play a key role in transforming innovative designs into efficient, scalable manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive production readiness for new and existing products
  • Develop and maintain Work Instructions, SOPs, and Safe Working Practices
  • Manage Production BOMs and engineering change processes (ECR/ECN)
  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 initiatives
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process optimisation, and cost reduction
  • Provide technical support across Production, Service, Sales, and Customer Support functions

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or similar engineering role
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
  • Experience with NPI, Design for Manufacture, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (D365 preferred) and production data analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Degree-qualified in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of GD&T, CAD, and PLM systems is advantageous
