New Manufacturing Engineer Job
Location: Hayes, Middlesex
An exciting Manufacturing Engineer job is available in Hayes, Middlesex for an experienced engineer with a background in manufacturing, production engineering and NPI. This job offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, from design and prototype through to production.
The Job
The Manufacturing Engineer will act as the link between design and manufacturing, developing robust processes and supporting the successful transition of new products into production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting NPI, prototype builds, and production transitions
- Creating manufacturing processes, flow diagrams, and work instructions
- Supporting DFM and DFA reviews
- Designing jigs, fixtures, and tooling
- Investigating manufacturing issues, non-conformances, and engineering changes
- Working with design, programmes, operations, and supply chain teams
- Supporting MRP, BOMs, material requirements, and production planning

Experience Needed
- Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, or similar
- Experience within an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of NPI, DFM, and DFA
- Experience with manufacturing processes and production documentation
- Experience with PCBs, power supplies, transformers, wire harnesses, machined components, or 3D printed parts is desirable
- Knowledge of CAD and MRP systems
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, ESD, and ISO 9001 is advantageous
- Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or similar is beneficial
- HNC, Degree, or equivalent engineering apprenticeship
- SC Clearance or the ability to obtain it
