Standard Job Description
Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

About The Role
The Operations Engineering team provides engineering resources to support Operational performance and major product development projects; from design through to engineering build and production support, to end of life of product. The team provides full product lifecycle support including prototype design & build, development and integration of the build documentation and supporting requirements of full production build.
This role will focus on production support, issue resolution and escalation of issues, with the aim to reduce manufacturing downtime and improve adherence to production schedules.
As part of the Operations Engineering Team, this role is recognised as the first point of contact for all matters related to shop floor issues to ensure that problems are resolved by providing engineering advice, problem solving and co-ordination of activities in support of current and future business.

- Support production activities through issue resolution.
- Responding to Andon to resolve issues or escalate to reduce downtime.
- Collate data associated with production stoppages to identify and recommend areas of improvement.
- Active involvement in Mission Directed Work Team (MDWT) Level 1 and 2 meetings.
- Creation of Manufacturing Bill of Materials and routings in SAP.
- Creation of product demand in SAP.
- Management of Manufacturing Queries in SAP.
- Support introduction of new manufacturing processes and capabilities.
Required Skills, Qualifications And Experience
- Experience of responding and resolving issues raised during production on the shop floor.
- Good understanding of ERP and experience creating MBOM's and routings
- Able to collate and process data to make data driven decisions and to influence change.
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Experience of working on the shop floor in one or more of the following disciplines would be beneficial; Assembly, Electrical harness manufacturing,
