Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Ramsgate, Kent
Company: AEM Limited (An AMETEK Company)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering team in Ramsgate. This role will play a key part in supporting production operations, introducing new repair and overhaul capabilities, improving manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement across our aerospace MRO environment.

Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Production teams, you will be responsible for developing efficient manufacturing solutions, designing tooling and fixtures, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, and delivering sustainable process improvements that enhance safety, quality, delivery and cost performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combining hands-on manufacturing support with project-based development work in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Engineering & Production Support

  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to production and repair operations.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing and process-related issues through structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Create, review and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process specifications and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with approved technical data, regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Support engineering investigations, concessions and non-conformance activities.
  • Partner with Operations teams to improve production flow, reduce waste and increase efficiency.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Support the introduction of new products, repairs and overhaul capabilities into the business.
  • Evaluate aircraft components and assemblies to identify manufacturing and repair solutions.
  • Lead or support capability development projects from concept through to operational implementation.
  • Develop manufacturing methods, tooling and production processes to support new capabilities.
  • Facilitate the successful transfer of new processes, products and repairs into production.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
