GTS Group are supporting an innovative engineering business that is experiencing significant growth and is looking to strengthen its manufacturing engineering team. This opportunity offers exposure to cutting-edge composite technologies, advanced production methods and highly complex engineering projects across aerospace, defence and high-performance applications.
What You'll Be Doing
- ✔ Developing and improving composite manufacturing processes
- ✔ Optimising lay-up, cure and trimming operations
- ✔ Creating manufacturing documentation, process instructions and routings
- ✔ Supporting production, quality and design teams
- ✔ Leading investigations into manufacturing and quality issues
- ✔ Supporting equipment commissioning and production scale-up
- ✔ Driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- ✔ Ensuring compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards

What We're Looking For
- ✅ Experience within composites manufacturing
- ✅ Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes
- ✅ Autoclave and lamination experience
- ✅ Aerospace, defence, motorsport or advanced engineering background
- ✅ Knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality systems
- ✅ Ability to work cross-functionally within engineering and manufacturing teams

- ⭐ Automated Fibre Placement (AFP)
- ⭐ Lean Six Sigma qualifications
- ⭐ ERP/MRP system experience
