Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace department
Pay: Up to £55,000
Hours: 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 12:30 on a Friday.
Location: Near Redditch
Industry: Manufacturing – precision engineering
Overview:
With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team. You will be part of the Process and Manufacturing Engineering teams working with processes such as EDM Machining, Multi axis laser, high precision welding and forming metals with hydraulics presses.
Key responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer role:
- Support the Manufacturing Manager in achieving EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives through the Operational Control model.
- Participate in and develop effective "walk the floor" routines.
- Attend daily operations and key standard meetings, taking ownership of Manufacturing Engineering actions and issues.
- Understand process constraints and drive continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.
- Create, maintain and control manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, drawings and set-up packs.
- Provide Manufacturing Engineering support across functions, including NPDI, Production, Purchasing and Quality.
- Ensure tooling is designed, available and fit for purpose to support safe and efficient manufacturing.
- Lead and implement engineering solutions, working with suppliers, customers and internal teams where required.
- Support internal and external audits, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions.

The ideal candidate / Manufacturing Engineer:
- Proven experience with one of the following processes: EDM Machining, Multi axis laser, high precision welding or forming metals with hydraulics presses
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Engineering or Manufacturing-related qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent) desirable.
