Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Electronic & Electromechanical Products

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire | 100% On-Site

Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 basic + benefits

Working Hours: Typically, 7:00am – 3:30pm

We’re working with an established technology business that designs and manufactures sophisticated, high-value electronic and electromechanical products used by customers across global markets.

As the business continues to develop and introduce new products, they’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to take a broad, hands-on role across New Product Introduction, production support and continuous improvement.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with design, production and supply chain teams and wants genuine ownership across the manufacturing lifecycle.

The Role

You’ll be involved across a number of NPI projects at different stages, helping take products from initial prototypes through to a robust, repeatable manufacturing process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting NPI from a manufacturing perspective, including initial SOPs, first prototypes and technical discussions with design engineering.
  • Developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation, including BOMs, routings, work instructions and inspection requirements.
  • Defining manufacturing processes and cycle times and helping ensure products are ready for production.
  • Supporting line layouts, tooling, equipment requirements and cell headcount planning.
  • Providing hands-on engineering support to production, resolving manufacturing issues and identifying opportunities to improve yield, quality and efficiency.
  • Driving continuous improvement and Lean initiatives across manufacturing processes.
  • Supporting engineering changes and ongoing product maintenance.
  • Working with suppliers and supply chain teams to investigate and resolve material quality issues.
  • Working across a high number of product variants, adapting manufacturing processes to suit a low-to-medium volume, high-value production environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why This Role?

This is a broad Manufacturing Engineering position rather than a role focused on just one area. You’ll have exposure to the full manufacturing lifecycle, from early-stage NPI and prototyping through to production support, continuous improvement and supplier quality.

There are currently around 10 NPI projects at different stages of development, providing the opportunity to become involved in a variety of new products and technologies over the coming years.

If you’re a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and working closely with engineering and production teams, this could be an excellent opportunity to make a real impact.
