Job Description

Are you an experienced Industrial Engineer with a background in manufacturing and a passion for process improvement? Do you enjoy analysing production data, improving efficiency and supporting new product introductions? If so, this Industrial Engineer role could be perfect for you.

This Industrial Engineer is based in Petersfield. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:15am - 4:30pm. The role is paying a competitive salary depending on experience. This is a 12 month FTC.

As the Industrial Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful introduction of new products by developing accurate labour standards and ensuring competitive product costing. You'll work closely with production and engineering teams to analyse manufacturing processes, identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency. The role includes reviewing labour standards, supporting first production runs, analysing performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, balancing production lines, and leading value engineering initiatives. You'll also undertake production studies, recommend process improvements and contribute to strategic manufacturing projects that enhance productivity, quality and overall business performance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Process Improvement role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting production and performance data
  • Experience developing labour standards, production costing or time studies
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and value engineering principles
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across production and engineering teams
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving and project management skills
