Manufacturing Engineer | 6-month contract | Romsey
Location: Romsey — 5 days per week onsite
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £390 per day | Inside IR35
I’m recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to support Roke, helping improve manufacturing processes, resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement across electronics and hardware assembly.
This would suit someone with a strong electro-mechanical manufacturing background who enjoys hands-on problem solving and leading improvements in productivity, quality, cost and lead times.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Resolve production issues and non-conformances using PSP, 8D, RCA and DMAIC.
- Support electronics and hardware assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
- Implement PFMEA, 5S and Asset Care programmes.
- Work with engineering, production and supply chain teams to improve processes and delivery.
Experience we’re looking for:
- Relevant degree and Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt qualification.
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly and electronic/mechanical testing.
- A track record of leading change and improvement projects.
- Familiarity with manual and automated measurement techniques.
- MRP experience — IFS would be advantageous.

SC clearance is highly preferred. The role can start under BPSS, but applicants without SC must be able to obtain it.
