Avtron

Avtron is a global leader in the design and manufacture of Load Banks and Dynamometers, supplying customers across the power generation, utilities, defence and industrial sectors. We work with multinational organisations, utilities, government departments and specialist companies across mission-critical, OEM, service, plant hire and power generation markets.

Customer service is at the heart of our business. Our experienced teams work closely with customers throughout the product lifecycle, from initial requirements through to delivery and ongoing support. Our purpose-built facility is equipped with modern computer-aided design and manufacturing capabilities, supported by highly skilled people and robust ISO9001 quality systems.

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer with a strong Lean and Continuous Improvement focus to drive operational excellence across our manufacturing facility.

This is a hands-on role that combines traditional manufacturing engineering with Lean expertise. You will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, eliminating waste, increasing productivity and delivering sustainable improvements across the business.

Around 60–70% of your time will be focused on Lean and continuous improvement activities, including leading Kaizen events, coaching production teams, developing standard work and improving operational flow. You will also take ownership of high-visibility cost-saving projects, presenting project progress and results to the Lean Manager and C-suite leadership during quarterly business reviews.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
